Unfortunately, most banks will not notarize documents on behalf of their clients unless the papers are on bank forms. FedEx also no longer provides notarization; however, some UPS stores will notarize selected documents and reject many documents. This is because there is a lot of responsibility and liability when notarizing a document.
Most notaries nationwide, including those in Brooklyn, operate mobile notary public services as sole proprietorships (or signing services). This means that a notary will be dispatched to your residence, business, public place, hospital, care facility, or jails.
In New York, you can have a wide variety of documents notarized, whether it’s something you’ve created yourself or a trusted form you’ve sourced. Commonly notarized documents include Affidavits, Advanced Health Care Directives, Bank Forms, Car Titles, Deeds, Divorce Settlements, End-of-Life Care Packages, Financial and Medical Powers of Attorney, Minor Consent Forms, Passport Applications, Real Estate Documents, School Forms, Unclaimed Property Forms, and more!
Please note: New York Notaries are not permitted to notarize (copy certify) vital records such as birth and death certificates. Certified Copies of Vital records must be authenticated by their issuing party.
The maximum fee permitted by the State of New York per notarial act is $2. Nevertheless, administrative fees, printing fees, waiting fees (if applicable), and time/travel fees may be added by mobile notaries. Document processing and witness fees, among other possible additional charges, may apply. Due to the fact that we provide mobile notary public services at flat rates, the cost of your notarization will be computed for you via our user-friendly book online form.
