Important Information About  Online Remote Notarization
How is identification confirmed in a distant online notarization session?

1. ID legitimacy: To confirm the legitimacy of your ID, use your smartphone to snap a clear picture of it or an authorized replica, then submit it. You are unable to proceed with the session if the system is unable to read the identity you present. In order to provide your ID to the notary during the video session, you must also have it with you.

2. Use one of two methods to confirm that you are the rightful owner of the ID that has been issued.

3. Five multiple-choice questions make up Knowledge-based Authentication (KBA), which is based on data from your previous public records. Say, “What color was the Ford you owned in 2010?” as an example. in addition to “With which of these addresses are you associated?” ) This might not be the best choice for you if you don’t have a Social Security number issued in the United States and at least five years of credit history.
